Qantas' Safety Record Intact
September 2nd 2010 12:42
A Qantas flight from San Francisco ran into a little problem when its forth engine exploded. It immediately returned and made an emergency landing.
The captain shut down the engine after the explosion and made a normal routine landing!
Most aircraft are still manageable with only one or two engines. Maybe it's me, but the article downplays the fact that the crew still were able to handle an emergency situation in a calm manner.

Even though it appears that Qantas has the best record in the air I would feel a lot safer if the deregulation was scrapped
Just my view
