Tunnel of Doom

I just found out that the deal to build the tunnel under Watson island has been funded and construction will begin soon.

They are going to build a tunnel from the Port of Miami, under the waterway where cruise ships sail out of the port, under the stolen land of Watson Island and unto Interstate I-95 in order to allow large trailer trucks easy access to the Interstate.

This tunnel is going to be a disaster waiting to happen because of several factors.

First there is the unstable soil conditions in and around Watson Island then there is the sonic disturbance created by the cruise ships from the outside of the tunnel and the sonic disturbance from the trucks from the inside.and due to the fact that the tunnel is being constructed because Miami politicians want to line their pockets with the payola from the construction company and they will not be too concern about the quality of the construction

One more factor is the curse that there is on any endeavor that is made to profit from the theft by the City of Miami of the public land that is Watson Island, Budda will make this tunnel crumble.

Out of Balance

This post is not about local Government stealing public land, but it is related because we are stealing land from someone more important than the public, we are stealing land from Mother Nature.

Our Earth is a sphere, in other words is a wheel and you don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out that if you put more weight on one side of a wheel than on the other, it throws it out of balance, even a humble mechanic knows this, that is why we have our car wheels balanced.

Having said that our Earth is a wheel and knowing that it revolves on an axis we come to the realization that by erecting a multitude of high rise buildings on certain parts of our earth, mainly here in the United States, we are throwing our Earth out of balance and to prove this I challenge you to take an accurate compass and face due East at sunrise, you will notice that while the compass needle points dead center East, the Sun will be rising many degrees to your right, that is, due South East this proves that our Earth is out of balance.

We are constantly bombarded by advertisement and "public service" announcements crying, "Save our Earth", recycle, don't use deodorant with flourocarbons, don't smoke, watch you car's emissions, bu t no one says, stop building skyscrapers, stop removing trees to build cement monsters.

Why is our Government and big business so selective iwhen it comes to protect the Earth? It all comes down to the God of the modern world, the almighty Dollar.

Yes Cities want you to separate your glass from your paper from your plastic and place them neatly in bins next to you regular garbage can so they may be recycled properly. Do they do this to save our Earth? No, they do this because recycling is a multibillion dollar industry, the have you do the work and they reap the profits.Banks and Credit card companies say." Go Green, save the Earth,get you statements online, not on paper", but they do not tell you about the money that they will be saving on postage and man hours of mail processing employees, they do not care about the Earth, just their profits.

Yes they put many many gadgets on cars for emission control, is this to save our ozone layer? No, this makes the cars more expensive and heavier so the consume more fuel, it is a fact that each time the Space Shuttle is launched, more damage is done to the ozone that a million cars would do in a thousand years.

The say that they must continue to build high rise buildings to accommodate the rise in population, when in fact most of the dwellings being built remain empty because they are to expensive for the working family to afford, there is all this empty space, and there is still homeless people sleeping on the street.

As long as Government and big business keep lining their pockets, they don't really care about our Earth.

No More Fishing

Watson Island on the McArthrur Causeway, Miami, Fl, has always been a place where families would get together to watch the cruise ships sail away, do a little fishing, have a B. B. Q. or just relax and let their children play.

As I have stated on previous posts, this land was donated to the City of Miami just for that purpose, for people to enjoy some fresh air and have good clean fun.

The City of Miami in it's greed has sold pieces of this Island to privateers like the Potamking family and Parrot Jungle and now they have taken one more step to make sure that people don't enjoy the use of the island for free, they have put up a fence all around the shoreline of the island, now people can no longer fish there.

What would the next step be?, fence the whole island and put a gate to charge admission?

The only way to fight this injustice by peaceful means is to boycott all instalations that are placed on this stolen land.

I urge all of South Florida residents and any tourists that visit our City, to boycott "The Children's Museum" and "Jungle Island" and any other theme park for profit that is placed on this stolen land.

If any of you do wish to stop by the Island, do visit the "Japanese Gardens" it is the only section of the Island that has a legal right to be there.

Budha's Curse

At the same time that the City of Miami sold out the south side of Watson Island to the Flagstone property group they also sold out the north side of Watson Island to Parrot Jungle.

The North side of Watson Island had been donated by the Ichimura family and the Japanese Gardens were located in the property, a Free place where people could go to meditate and reflect under the watchful eye of a magnificent statue of Budha

Stop the theft of public land

Local Governments have fallen into a trend of stealing donated public lands that were intended for public use and selling these lands to investors.

The property known as Watson Island located on the Mc Arthur Causeway, Miami Florida was donated to the City of Miami with the stipulation that said land was to remain open for the use of the general public as a free recreational area
