Psychological alchemy prologue stanza 9

Stanza 9
Coiled in the ancient earth
Buried in the Caer Caverna
A dragon wakes from his troubled sleep
To join the mortal child and its lonely sacred vigil keep
For upon the highest mountain behold me as I stand
A little golden flame is resting in my palm
I wait to follow whatever the universe and the Goddess command
It is I who gave you substance
It is I who gives you form
In order to repay me
You must rise above the surging morass
Here waiting at the dawn of time
Here breathing at the end of space
I stand on the edge of the eternity
Between the chasms of the soul
I as mortal am blessed with a harmony
Of the world that I command
I am the first
I am the last
I am the role in which humanity has been made
Here I am the ruler upon the sea of fate
Through the self I am the builder and destroyer of both capital and country
I am the formulated foundation
Of every garden, hearth and culture
That covers and crosses this fragile but beauteous earth
For fifty two times
Of the classical delight
To the recording of an old ones birth
So do I see?
So mote it be?
Here we stand in the presence and the power of the eternal now, we acknowledge those who have built the alchemical edifice before us, those also who have toiled away at the alchemical coalface, making and preparing the way for us to follow. Each of us here must recognise our own thoughts and feelings about the truth that we bring to the alchemical mixture, for even though we follow in the footsteps of others we also lay the foundation for those to follow, and follow they will, as surely as the dawn raises on each day. We are the first and the last, in the sense of our involvement begins and ends with us, but we must also be aware that we not just the first and last in the unfolding journey. Millions have gone before and many millions more will follow. As those who have gone before have been added to the mix, so also those who follow will further add to the mix.
Exercise # 9………….. Having nurtured the soil and cleansed it, and still working on the gem, holding it, cleansing it, imagining it pulsing with light and energy, imagining it sitting in the body shedding its effusive energy throughout every cell and being within the body. Having also cleansed the cauldron or the pot, we are now ready to prepare ourselves for entering onto the path of the journey in earnest; from now on we are going to be using meditation and visualisation as a basis for the journey. I want you to meditate on the soil, visualise it being pure and full of all the nutrients that healthy soil requires. I want you to meditate on the cauldron, and visualise it overflowing with whatever is needed to accomplish the journey you are on. (For those who don’t know how, meditation is simply the act of watching the breathing, relaxing into the breath, and allowing the breath to find its own natural cycle it is also a continuous and profound contemplation or musing on a subject or series of subjects of a deep or abstruse nature. Visualisation is the art of imagining an event as being real so that you can feel and see what you feel and see, it is as well a mental image that is similar to a visual perception)
