Stanza 3
In an ancient lifetime past and in the future ones to emerge
I vainly sought the eternal clue
To see what truths others could know and the things that I had yet to achieve To look for a key that sits inside each and all of the flowers of Logres
Upon one hallowed day out of a billion lived and loved
Harmlessly I drifted away
I saw the universe dancing within echoing through the nothing
And so my sanity started to dissolve
Here is the reference to the lifetime past and the future ones yet to emerge, this is to show what all the great spiritual teachers have told us all the time, there is no past, there is no future, there is only the present, the now, and this is where we as human beings are at our most powerful. All of us have the connection to the key from within but it is a matter of listening for it, tuning into it and knowing and following its eternal sacred source. And whether one lives one day or one year, or a billion years the power and the presence of the present, the now can grab hold of us and shake us up and make us shiver on the hottest day. It can also make us and must at some stage convince us of the power that lies within and can be found at any stage, at any day in the billion or more lived and acknowledged. It is one of the contentions arising that we have within us all, each of us, a void, a nothing, a reservoir of power. Because it is a void, most people avoid it, or feel they must fill or stuff it with everything and anything to stop them from looking at and into it. But look at, and into it you must, otherwise it becomes the setting for the addictive behaviour, the overweight person, literally stuffing themselves and gorging themselves to death. The smoker and drinker, destroying their lungs and kidneys through the agency of legalised suicide, killing themselves slowly and deliberately because they have not the awareness nor the capacity to understand the reasons for their addiction and hence the awareness and capacity to break it and become the free spirit they where meant to be.
Exercise # 3…….I want you to ponder on what has prompted you to buy this book and read it, is there an underlying cause for the thinking, are you looking for a chance to attain some sort of deeper meaning to who and where you are.
