Insect love can be quite interesting, until the female decides to rip off the male’s head... Then it’s just plain nasty. For the most of us, the idea of reincarnating as a male mantis is far off from satisfactory. After all, who would want to fall in love with a sexy female mantis and decide to take it steady, and before hitting that epitome of sexual desire, their head is ripped off and eaten by their lover? Well not me that’s for sure.
However, have you ever stopped to wonder whether the male mantis deserves his life taken away? In some cases, definitely! Males that dismount from their lovers too quickly are more vulnerable to fall into the act of sexual cannibalism. Interestingly enough, males have played these games before! And the smart ones of course approach the female with caution and prolong copulation to satisfy their women.
Ironically in the real world, any woman would want that extra time, which is rarely given to them, in order to hit that big O! And most men in their very nature are in it for themselves, hence the woman’s immediate setback. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say women crave this ability of power that the female mantis retains. A little message to all the men out there, have a good head on your shoulders and keep your women satisfied!
