“Smooth Transition from Tropical Paradise”
Chiropractic Assistant and Powerful Practices Member Hayley Beecroft, shared with us how having systems and procedures can enable even the office manager to have a relaxed, carefree holiday.
Preparation is the key to returning to a calm practice!!
Haley recommends, and used the following 6 major keys before leaving for holidays recently:
Invest extra time in creating check lists, and have meetings with your team before you go on holidays. It really is worth it.
Ensure all procedures are streamlined and clearly stated in your Chiropractic Assistant manual.
Formulate or update a list of contact numbers, including numbers such as suppliers, computer technicians, X-ray tech's, imaging techs, maintenance etc.
Have your team communication diary clearly marked with tasks for each shift.
Ensure your daily checklist is up to date, and very concise. This will help your CA's to remember everything, along with their extra tasks.
Label manila folders so that all documents are easy to access when you return. I personally made one for mail, another for remittance, one for reports/invoices, and one for notes or queries. This was a very effective method.
With all of these procedures and checklists put in place, your transition from tropical paradise back to the office will be as smooth as mine was!
