Practice Pointer - Beware of signs
March 28th 2011 00:55
What happened to fully booked Saturday mornings? Numbers are dropping off – you missed the sign that your Associate is not interested in working Saturdays anymore – beware.
Have you ever seen a shift dwindle at the end on a Friday evening, or even massive amounts of no shows and cancels? How come suddenly everyone is cancelling the Wednesday evenings Creating Health Workshop? Be aware of signs like these, as they can tell you your Chiropractic Assistant does not want to work those hours!
You think I’m kidding! I have witnessed this in many practices. Recently one of our members reported that they heard the CA confirming the Creating Health Workshop for that evening. Instead of using the office script, “Jan, I’m confirming how many people you will be bringing with you tonight” this CA was asking people if they would be attending – alarm bells rang - then the CA asked if she needed to be there during the workshop as her work was completed!!
Ensure your team is committed to the hours they are allocated, and are willing and able to support you and your practice. If not, change shifts or change CAs or Associates.
Be aware of signsNB. Remember to check your own energy and your best peak performance shifts.
