Over the weekend, against my better judgement, I decided to be active and play sport. It was a mistake on several levels. Firstly, I prefer to sleep off my hangovers on the weekend, like a normal person. Secondly, it was a sport which centred around a hard ball moving very fast. And, thirdly, I am a lady - and ladies do not sweat. We may, from time to time, gently perspire, but that's about it.
I was glad to get home. I'm not sure who won the game, but if there was a prize for the most hungover, bruised and sunburnt person, then I would have taken home a trophy. I am still feeling some of the effects today, which made me think two things. 1). I am old. 2). The sun hates me
