Porno-bloggers endorsed by Orble Admin?

What on earth is going on... where are the Moderators/Administrators of this site?!

I read a post earlier today by moonglow, read here. She bought up the very mature content that she has seen flooding the lifestyle homepage. Now it seems there is a blogger posting nude photographs of a woman, in a range of suggestive, lewd and very confronting positions. There isn't even any text in the body of this particular bloggers posts - just smutty images!

Well, my question is, this blogger has posted over 20 blogs of this nature since joining the site earlier in April; AND NOT ONE HAS BEEN MARKED MATURE CONTENT!!!

WHY ON EARTH IS THIS TOLERATED BY ADMIN? AND CAN WE EVER HOPE FOR THE DAY THAT THE ORBLE ADMINISTRATORS WILL TAKE OUR CONCERNS SERIOUSLY?

FYI - the blog in question is Funny Pic Funny People Funny Crazy Funny Animal Funny Cartoon (be forewarned, it's basically just porn!).

I respect your right to have an opposing view Peter Yang. But I do feel that I am equally as entitled to voice mine. Would you also please flesh out your comment a little, as this is the first time I have aired my concerns... thus it seems a little premature for you to be telling me to "drop it."

Look, I am not in favor of those materials been put on a site like this either.

But the fact is that different site have different construction philosophy(excuse my spelling with this word.) behind them. If you go onto MySpace for example, pornography will be gotten rid of right from the beginning, that is because of their philiosophy. However, Orble follow a differen set of rules and then within it our own independent blogs will once again follow a different set of rules.

Personally, I do not like those porn related material to be put on Orble either, but just like we have our own believe in conservative values, we have to respect those who think otherwise. Porn is no where up to the high moral status within us, but so are rock & roll and many other things not up to the moral status of some other.

As long as the material a blogger post, is not one that is hurting anybody, it should be ok and from what I see, this blogger is not posting material that will hurt others and the only problem is that we feelt it to be moral degrating.

Apart, from this blogger probably should consider putting his/her material into the mature content category, to prevent children that is not yet mature enough to view these materials, I honestly do not see anything wrong with it. It isn't hurting anybody.

Ask, this blogger to put his/her material under the mature content category is all we should ethically be doing, apart from that honestly, there is nothing wrong with this bloggers materials, it might be low in moral, but it is definitly not hurting anybody.

Apart from trying to make this blogger put his/her material under mature content, people should really just leave him/her along.

Respect others as you would like to be respect.

Peter,

Orbles Terms & Conditions clearly state that:

"You will not post offensive material in your blogs. This may include but is not limited to racist or pornographic material."

I'm sure if a censorship panel were to convene and debate the particular blog in question, they would deem the content to be pornographic - thus is should not be posted on the Orble network.

Hey, it's a recession. Or is it the beginning of a new dark age like the 14th century, unless you stop it? Anyway, the Orblers (Jon, Cibbuano, etc) need the cash. And in a crisis, boomers revert back to sex and drugs and rock n roll. Reality has never been a strong suit of the internet anyway. Like did you see the Craigslist killer? (Quincy, Massachussets) And he was going to med school!

When you take a stand Mau, stand on your guiding principles, and sadly, be prepared to suffer the consequences. And you have.

Orble.com and Orble.adult.com is a solution. And strictly monitor the family friendly version. I'd probably post on both.

This has been a never ending story, hotly debated and never resolved.

Perhaps if more Orblers' contacted Jon directly with the same message, that may produce results.

Nevar, surely Orble have a duty of care to the contributors of the site? I mean if not for those people posting to domain blogs and driving traffic Orble earning advertising revue Jon would not have an income!!

And whilst I understand that one single person cannot moderate 24/7, I see no reason why there isn't someone else, working in another time zone (say the 'London' office) who couldn't keep an eye on it when Jon's not around.

Jon and I have had our issues, and as a result I stopped writing on five blogs sponsored by Orble, that are now sitting dormant.

Strife arose over the enforcement of his own rules, he wouldn't enforce them and I wouldn't acquiesce with his lack of action.

The writers forum was supposed to be a way to communicate with him, but, little change has come out of those discussions.

I have made my decision, unless the material is removed, and I OBJECT violently to having it before my eyes, over which I have no control, picture after picture which means I can't really use the site without seeing it, and it is there for everyone to be forced to see it, .... so I have decided that come May 1, I shall no longer post to Orble, and I guess that means the next Google adcents $100 will be a long time coming, if ever, which means I "donate' any future 'earnings' to GOOGLE, so much for their ethics, I thought the adcents program as it is rejects such material. Blogging has become a disaster, I should have gone a long time ago, but I've hung around far too long as this recent situation is inexcusable and no doubt the blogger concerned, chose the weekend especially.

Orble will need to do a bit more programming it seems. Surely they are up to the task.

You know the shame about it is that the person who posted it isn't even intelligent enough to write anything to go with the pics. I came on here for literature, art and written excellence to improve and practice my own skills and ended up with porn, so I guess its a sad day for me too . . and sadder still in proving that every good thing (liek the internet) and all other human inventions will ultimately be used to serve the sick and perverted minds of the sewage class.

You have my support . .has anyone written to the gods directly yet?

I think it is time we all did.

Orble has gone to the dogs and without the adult content flag just joined the ranks of the lowest of the low in its appeal to young children who visit orble for the written masterpieces that used to inspire so many, but have now also become curious about porn. Oh Bravo.

my point here being that no matter how suggestive the written word, a young mind is like a thimble and will only absorb or interpret so much before it (a) switches of or (b) goes over their heads.

This cannot be ignored by a young mind and can damage for life. ((too sad)).

Why would anyone want to write poetry anymore, or pieces of the beatuy still left in the world.

I hope someone really does sue them for allowing it.
