Maybe because I yanked it by the throat like this,while I was watering the garden last night, this morning when I went out to drive them all to school, they had turned into this

poppies



These are the first of my first-ever crop of poppies and I have to say I am chuffed - they look great. Mr Front Door has looked at me suspiciously and mentioned opium, but I have assured him it is the flora that I am cultivating...

Anyway, there are loads of buds so who knows what will become of all that leftover seed. I'm proud of my fluffy girls.
