Pop! Flashback - Debbie Gibson

July 29th 2010 11:52
Category: No Category

One of our favourite songs from the late 80s is the beautiful "Lost in Your Eyes" by Debbie Gibson.

Written and Produced by Debbie, the single was released in October 1988 and hit the number 1 spot on the US Billboard Charts, where it stayed for 3 weeks, making it her most successful single.

It's one of those songs that whenever we hear it, it transports us straight back to our childhood, where we would sing along with the video!!

Check out the great 80s fashion in the video below and let us know some of your childhood favourites!!

I much preferred Only in my Dreams. Great pop track, especially the extended version. Whatever happened to Debbie? She must have got married and settled down and gave it all away to being a housewife.

Oh, We love a good extended mix!!

As much as we haven't heard too much from Debbie over the years, she has continued working, releasing album through the 90s on independant labels and during the 00s she has done a lot of stage work.

Last year she starred in the Z grade film "Shark Versus Giant Octopus".

And this year, with her 80s rival Tiffany, she is starring in another z grade film "Mega Python vs Gatoroid".

She is also working on a new album!!

Check out her website for all of the exciting Debbie Gibson news!!

Speaking of Tiffany, there's a doco about her made quite recently that sounded interesting. I can't remember the title though ... It might actually be I Think We're Alone Now.
