Australia claims to be a free country that has free speech and people are able to say what they want when they want but I listened to an English commentator who was here for the Ashes cricket series, he said that Australia may claim to be a land that promotes free speech and a fair go for all but in reality, Australia's politicians have overregulated everything. I also might add over taxed, over worked and over tired of political point scoring by governments at all levels. (Australia has three tiers of government: Federal, State and Local...it is a really complicated government system) No Federal, State or Local government seems interested in solving the many issues within Australia and that includes water, drought, health, climate change and education just purely the fact that there is an election coming up in March in New South Wales and a Federal election sometime in October/November and it seems like both State major parties are making empty promises to attract gullible voters who think it'll all be wonderful if that particulat party gets in.
So when the Federal election comes up, I encourage all you Aussies to think about who you vote for before you vote for the person who has made the most promises which sound good but will never happen
