 Polaroid Land Camera model 100

One of my fondest memories at age of 10 years old was getting my first camera.

It nothing flash about it just a Kodak box brownie single speed film camera.
I had managed to save enough pocket money to buy a roll of film but had to
continue saving for many more weeks until I could afford to pay for the prints.
My first few shots were a complete disaster people with heads cut of blurry
Images over and underexposed images, still I was determined not to give up
my new found pursuit.

During the 1950s you got your information from books
so I would spend hours combing my local library for any information on
photography. The years soon passed by , I started my first job at a local
television station starting at the very bottom I cleaned and poured photographic
chemical. At times I would print the images for screening on TV most images then were shot in monochrome.

I got my first taste of modern photographic technology with the arrival of the
Polaroid Land Camera model 100. That camera became a modern day innovation to instant picture taking. The camera was perhaps one of the

first to have modern transistor electronics.

Now instant gratification just press shoot and watch it develop before your eyes.

The Polaroid Land Camera model 100 was fairly modest compare to modern day cameras.

The lense featured a 114mm f/8.8 3-element glass construction.
Shutter: Electronic 10 seconds - 1/1200
A separate window view/rangefinder assembly folding bellows construction made it easy to store and carry around.

Film speeds of 75, 150, 300, and 3000 ASA.
You had the option for exposure compensation consisting of a dial with range of -1/ 2 stops ("Lighten/Darken" control).

All metal body and metal shutter/lens housing and a genuine leather carrying strap.

Sadly those days are gone but I still have my original Polaroid Land Camera model 100
as a memento a reminder of the “good” old days.
