The Experts at Astro Audio Video & Lighting have been keeping themselves busy recently with many projects, working with businesses and groups of all types. Quite recently, they lent their talent and services at an exceptionally meaningful event.
On Sunday, May 17th at the Ackerman Grand Ballroom at UCLA, Astro worked with the Yitzhak Rabin Hillel Center for Jewish Life and the Daniel Pearl foundation to stage an event that was hosted there to honor one Daniel Pearl; a chief journalist at the Wall Street Journal who was tragically kidnapped and murdered while working in Pakistan. Many people attended the event to honor Daniel Pearls memory, including well-known journalist Anderson Cooper who acted as keynote speaker for the event. Other notable attendees included actor Jon Voight, and Los Angeles mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.
The guys from Astro were hard at work all throughout the event to make sure everything went smoothly. Craig Merrick brought with him Daniel Lee, Jorge Rodezno, Doug Reid, and Jonathan Eaton to set up and oversee the event. The hall was set up exceptionally with powerful light trees in the back of the hall, special LED effects lighting on plants that were set on the podium at the front where Anderson Cooper would be speaking, and two massive back lit screens to show memorial footage of Daniel Pearl. Astro also decorated the event with black drape to add more visuals to conceal background equipment and make the overall visual experience more refined and stylish.
Astro provided their dedication and experience, and worked tirelessly to give the event the exceptional presentation it needed to fully honor the memory of a great individual.
Installation at Godfathers' Audio Visual & Lighting
More successful installations from Astro Audio Video & Lighting took place recently at several gentlemens clubs in Los Angeles. David Moses, businessman and owner of Godfather gentlemens clubs, decided to collaborate with the experts from Astro Audio Video & Lighting to install the latest light and sound equipment at three of their locations around LA. He wanted to enhance the overall experience of his clubs by providing excellent lighting and sound to accompany his beautiful dancers.
Godfather has a long history of providing the highest quality of adult relaxation and entertainment. Focusing on elegance, cleanliness, and hiring the widest range of beautiful, exotic dancers from many areas, Godfather places itself at the highest echelon of entertainment venues for LAs devious side. Godfather Gentlemens clubs provide lots of live entertainment and music, hosting different parties for every imaginable occasion.
In order to create the kind of exciting atmosphere David Moses wanted, the guys from Astro Audio Video & Lighting were called in to bring their expertise to the project, as well as the latest and greatest lighting and sound gear. To complete the necessary installations, Astro brought in several of their people to work on the projects, including owner Craig Merrick, Kenny Smith, and Jorge Rodezno. Several special effects lights, LED color washes, lasers and fog machines were installed at the clubs, focused around the stages to accentuate the excitement of the dancers performances. All new sound was also installed with a powerful sub woofer and wall-mounted speakers.
Once again Astro Audio Video & Lighting showcased their talent, bringing the highest quality entertainment equipment to their client.
