With most of us living busy lives we relish the time when we can just put our feet up or perhaps go to special place like a beach or park. It would be nice if we could document the moment with some photographs.

Most of us couldn’t be bothered carrying a bulky digital camera, perhaps DSLR when we go out. The other option would be the cell phone camera. Most cell phones have cameras built in the only problem is the image quality. Most cell phone cameras have poor image resolution meaning the images are not as sharp as they could be.

There is another alternative have a small lightweight pocket point and shoot camera.

Point and shoot digital cameras are designed to capture that perfect image without worrying how to light a subject or have people in the picture with red eyes, not to mention chopping their heads off. These devices are designed to be small so you can pull them out at a moment’s notice.

Pont and shoot cameras are cost effective depending on the type of features you require, most retail for less than $200.

If you have a small budget the Canon PowerShot SD940 will do a great job. The SD940 is a point and shoot camera that is small, simple, it has most of the advanced features to get that great shot.
The SD940 is able to capture 220 images on a single charge. It also has very good HD video option so you can get great clear video footage. The Canon PowerShot SD940 is simple to operate and would ideal for if you just wanted a small point and shoot camera.

The good and bad points

The camera features a scratch-resistant and anti-reflective 2.7-inch LCD display screen.

SD940 camera does not have an optical viewfinder.

But it is still a good all rounder, with a 12.1MP (megapixel) resolution a 28mm wide-angle lens and a 4x optical zoom. The camera has stabilizer technology that detects and corrects camera shake automatically. This technology available in most modern digital cameras prevents you from ending up with blurry photographs.

Weighing only 4.2 oz this camera would fit in a bag or pocket making it an camera for travelling or taking walks by the beach.
