Parliamentary Gardens

December 29th 2010 10:46
Fountains trickle down
Sparkling clear and crystal fresh
In memoriam

Politicians are
Seated on pale stone benches
As cold as their minds

Cool conversations
Subdued beside the water
No rhetoric here

Golden lilliums
Add grandeur to the walkways
Pleasant distractions

Shady arbours give
Furtive rooms for oiling wheels
And grinding axes

Until the bell rings
Calling them back to lobbies
And fine word debates

Fountains trickle down
Cleansing the false taint of
Ideology

the cost

September 30th 2010 11:54
the cost

what is honesty
being truthful and direct
no matter the cost

what are seen as lies
represent dishonesty
no matter the cost

what is the real cost
if suffering comes from both
lies and truthfuness

You bring to me…

June 16th 2010 08:32
You bring to me…

You bring to me love
as constant as the mountains
we contemplate when dusk falls

You bring to me kindness
as fresh as the warmth
of the morning sun

You bring to me sadness
as still as the pebble
that waits by the grave

You bring to me adventure
as bright as the new key
that shines on the secret lock

You bring to me new life
as sure as the seasons
that ever bring change

You bring to me peace
as still as the lake
that lies at our feet

Deep within her Rubenesque figure
hides a delicate femininity
longing for release

January 25th 2010 23:59
Thanks to every who read my 2 poems. I have 2 books published and these are from the most recent one that came out in 2009. My inspiration comes from William Blake, Samuel T Coleridge, William Shakespeare, Leonard Cohen, John Keats, Edwin Muir, Terry Pratchett, Iain Banks, Ian Rankin and many many more.

Visually, I have been inspired by WIlliam Blake, Monet, an website called Digital Blasphemy and many others. If you haven't checked out Digital Blasphemy yet, I definitely recommend it
