Plotting Along
So I forgot to add this in my earlier post, but thought I would post my status graph at the same time.
In addition to writing 5,000 words last time in a sick attempt to up my word count to somewhat reasonable...I also sat and FINALLY plotted out my story. I tend to never do this. No really, this was my frist ever PLOTTING. Ohahaha...sounds so devious and yet is so undeniably sad when you sit, with a page in front of you and your entire story sits there staring back at you. I felt like I had finished. Although it felt wrong, it felt bad, it felt like I had just decided the fate of someones life...in a way I did.
So below I give you my rough plot synopsis.
YES I KNOW!! I have the writing of a five year old. But to be fair, this was my rough and quick as hell writing style. I can be neater...sometimes.
So I know its a really bad scan. For some reason my scanner enjoys cutting off half of my things!
You can see the basic plot and oh so cliche storylines...(hello Tornado?? honestly). but I figure its a starting point right? Somewhere to head to. These are of course are only SOME of the events. There will be others in between but these are ones that shape the characters...umm well...character.
Now if you note, someone dies in my story. Im tre-excited about this part and am trying not to write it now rather than later when I get much more attached to the character and build their past. That way I will be emotional when it comes time to kill her off!! Don't get me wrong...I don't mean it in a..'Yes she's dead' im excited way...I mean it in the sense that I will be able to write something (hopefully) emotionally touching and be able to tap into some of my own feelings and bring it out in my words.
We'll see though. I may very well botch it up and make everyone lag instead of cry!!
AFTERTHOUGHT: Is anyone else absolutely PETRIFIED of showing their work OR passing out details of their story? I'm afraid someone will be like: "Wow, haven't heard this story line before" or "could this be anymore boring" or "your writing is crap". The first two statements were sarcastic in case anyone didn't get it. The last is a statement that would probably make me shrivel up and die along with my character....I couldn't imagine a worse thing to be told...
