Buzzing around - by smkwan

Please help keep our environment healthy and safe

May 20th 2007 17:46
The header graphic of a web site edsgrp.com presents a jigsaw with a few lose pieces still waiting to be plugged in. It inspires me a thought that our environment is very much like such a puzzle and businesses, as the most important pieces in the puzzle, are the crucial factors affecting the whole picture.

When they ignore the environment, the finished jigsaw is a picture with a smoky sky and lands and covered with withering plants. If they seek help from specialists like edsgrp.com to handle Environmental Health and Safety or EHS issues, the picture will display a paradise with many happy faces.

Lets take at glance at our environment. Here is a clipping from a website thercg.org.

----------------------------- ----------------------------- ----------------------------- -----------
Every day, earth becomes more and more polluted. Air pollution fills our lungs with deadly substances. Water pollution is rapidly eradicating what little freshwater we have left. Land pollution is causing once-fertile lands to become little more than deserts.
----------------------------- ----------------------------- ----------------------------- -----------

Yeah, as the important parts of the jigsaw, all businesses are whole heartedly invited to join these missioned people and organizations to help make our planet a healthy and safe globe to live and a perfect entity for making profit. With the latest technology, business owners are able to use solutions such as EHS Compliance software , EHS Metrics Software and EHS software available from hi-tech solutions groups like edsgrp.com , you may optimize your business environmental, health and safety performance.

As some reports, one I found on this web page minnesota.publicradio.org, have revealed a substance called flame retardant, a chemical added into many products such as electronics, clothes and furniture etc to prevent taking fire, has potential link with cancer. It is especially harmful to the children's brains.

some scientists conclude that flame retardants are worth concerning because they do accumulate in living creatures including human and they are toxic.

A research has shown that women in San Francisco have 3-10 times the levels of flame retardant in their breast tissue than European or Japanese women. Women and infants in Indiana and California have 20 times the levels of flame retardant present than in women of Sweden or Norway. Also Sweden and Norway have both recently banned flame retardants.

If what these reports have revealed are true, then entrepreneurs in the business and industry field should carry out suitable actions to minimize the environmental problems. To be the important pieces in such a jigsaw puzzle, you are the ones who are affecting the look of the picture. When the picture becomes ugly and lifeless, developing businesses in it will then becomes complete meaningless.
