Planet Earth

An American plains indian: Chief Seattle said " not until the last tree has gone, not until the last fish has gone, not until the last animal has gone will the white man learn you cannot eat money" We have but one place to live and that place is here on Earth. So why do we abuse the very system that supports us. I may be no sage, but I know that without wildlife the very system we rely on will collapse. I don't eat fish, not because I don't like fish but for the fact that I believe the worlds fish stocks are at their biological limit of extinction: I don't want to contribute to that collapse. Without bees there will be no pollination, without pollination there will be no harvest and we will starve, make no mistake we will starve, perhaps not me, perhaps not you, but our children will in the future starve. Why do we continue to allow the destruction of habitat and species that are a part of the chain of life. We are all of us a part of that chain of life. Break one link and we all suffer, humankind and wildlife. We have to make room in living on this planet Earth for all living species. We cannot continue to rape the planet of its resources and think that all will be well in the future and that science will save us. This is utter blindness to the way of life, the cycle of life. The fish is the spirit of water, the eagle is the spirit of air, the bear is the spirit of earth and humankind is the link to the spirit of earth. We, all of us, have nowhere else to go, I think we should look after each other and take care of the only place we have to live, Earth.
