One thing I was surprised by was the conversion of money between American and Euros. Ours, American, is worth so much less than Euros. For example, an American dollar would get you like 25 cents in Euros. This was back in 2005. It is probably worse now. In Tanzania, American cash is worth more than a shilling there though.

I am going to be adding more pictures soon. I have started back at college so I am trying to juggle a few things. I will be continuing this intermittently.
We had to take two taxis to where we were staying. The people at the airport were a bit snooty but they did their job. They accommodated us. I could feel the dislike for Americans there. The taxi drivers were competing for our business. Each of them were telling us a different price for where we were going. So naturally we took the lower priced taxi. The taxis were like old time cars like from the forties. It was very different. When we arrived at our destination the first driver said it was a higher price than what he originally said it would be. My husband wouldn't pay more. The driver was mad. The other driver was fine with it.
I have to go do homework now. To be continued.................
