Pictures of You

Favourite Blogs: Diet and Health, Flashes of Memorey, MS PAint (that's all I 've managed to look at so far today!)
Yesterday my sister Emma and I tried out a new park/playground area with the kids. I am totally in love with this place now. The playground had plenty to do and even though it was jammed packed with kiddies none were bored waiting in line to get on something. Also another thing that was great was no graffiti, I think it's such a shame that you go to a nice new playground and all you end up noticing is the scribble of graffiti and have to answer your child's question of "What does that say Mummy?", there was none of that here. There was no teenagers hanging around and having to be moved on by the local town centre police team and everyone was having a lovely time. It even had the ice-cream van drive across the park and park outside for everyone to get ice-creams (well everyone apart from our kids who didn't in the least bit notice it, which kind of made me feel a bit sad, I have to change that!). But best of all about this wonderful haven was the fact that just next to the playground area was an open greenland space, which had a pretty little river running through it with a bridge that was perfect for playing Pooh Sticks. We spent about an hour in the playground and then went for a walk around the greenland area which has been called Pages Wood, such a pretty name. It's not really much of a wood at the moment as trees have only recently been planted but it was a nice walk around and the kids loved it. As per the normal with me my trusty camera was in tow and plenty of photos taken. Last night I uploaded them to the laptop and then used a great little site called One True Media to make a video montage of the day (plus some photos from the days before as I needed more photos). It was great fun and I loved compiling the montage.

So I thought I'd share with you our little day out yesterday.

Pages Wood and beyond July 2007

Also if someone could tell me how to post it so that the video comes up in the post it would be greatly appreciated (I want to be able to do what Ash does with her youtube videos!!! *smile*)

EDITED: A big big big thank you Ash, I now know how to post the image. Thank you so much. *smiles*

Hiya Andrea.

It was truly a great day. Just one of those that you don't expect much from but end up enjoying. And I know it's sad but I keep watching the little video montage I did. *laugh*

So who used to win the Pooh sticks, you or your brother?

Thank you for popping by.

Take care.

LOL! That's the way!! Us girls rule!!!

Thank you and you too, we're finally getting some much needed sunshine and warm weather.

Oh and we live in Essex although I refuse to be called an Essex Girl. If we get the fast train we can be in London within 15 minutes.

Take Care.

Absolutely fetching, catching, delightful, delicious and delovley. I am in love and those wonderful big grey eyes and the background music and nymphs and shepherds and still I'll live to see another day.

What a wonderful idea, Sarah, and incidentally my daughter lives in Dorset, she married a 'pom' so that's a switch about from Andrea.

You made my day.

Hiya Katyzzz.

*blush* Thank you. I must admit that I keep watching it myself and Callum has informed me that he thinks it's great, it has him, Eloise, Alex and water in. *laugh* I do so love that site and what it allows you to do.

Dorset is lovely! Do you get to visit your daughter much?

Thank you for popping by as always it's lovely to see you posting here.

Take Care.

Hey Sarah

Yes, I miss England sometimes, even after all this time, and my family are still over there so I miss them. Maybe I'll get back over there one day.

Hiya Sarah

ahhhh those pics are so cute... a great English summer day at the park. Looks like a lot of fun was had by all!

For you to get your video linked into your post type

[ HTML 3456 ]

with no spaces. If I type it here then it just disappears! Then click on the top right hand green button which says 'GET CODES' (it`s on your video on onetruemedia) and copy the code in the line which says 'EMBEDED CODE' and paste it in the very next line under your HTML in brackets.

Next go to the very next line and type [ / HTML ] again with no spaces inbetween. So when you have put all of that in it should look like this, except with no spaces:

[ HTML 3456 ]
mambo jumbo code that no one really understands but
you just need it and will waffle on for a few lines
blah blah blah
[ / HTML ]

It should work, but I`m pretty hopeless at instructions so if it doesnt then let me know and I'll try again

Happy videoing. For some reason I`m not getting notifications to your blog even though I am subscribed. grrrrr investigation opened!

Enjoy the rest of your summer.

Hiya Ash.

Thank you so so so much for those instructions, they made sense we'll just have to see if I can execute them well. *smiles*

And thank you for the kind comments about the video montage, we did indeed have a wonderful day, just a shame the sunny English weather has now disappeared and in its place we have rain.

As for notifications I don't seem to be getting all of them, only a handful. But then again I could have accidentally clicked something and not noticed. Oh and I'm really chuffed that you're subscribed, I keep meaning to look into that for my favourite blogs, but time seems to be going too quickly when I get on here.

Hope you're well.

Take Care.

That`s no prob at all Sarah! What would we do without YouTube hey?

Can I ask who sings the first song on your video? This is the first time I have heard it and now I can`t get it out of my head... love it!

I know what you mean about time getting away from you when you get on the comp! I`m trying to limit mine, but that doesn`t always work

be well

Hiya Ash.

I only got notified this year to the greatness of youtube, or maybe it was late last year, but I love it! So much fun.

If I remember correctly the song is by The Eels and it's called PS You Rock My World. The Eels are a great band, one of my favourite songs is My Beloved Monster, it was constantly being played when I was pregnant with Callum and reminds me so much of that time and of him and my love for him. Definately check them out.

I swear with computers there is some hidden chain that latches onto our hands as soon as we put them on and won't let us go.

Take Care.

Thanks Sarah

I have listened to a few of their other tracks and now recognise a few more songs. I am so bad when it comes to band names.... shocking infact!

ahhh I kow what you mean about the computer. I get on and get so wrapped up in the darn thing that I get lost for hours... all that productive time wasted. although I suppose I am satifying my curiosity so that can never be wasted time... can it? :0
