Welcome to the Seeing Florida blog series, Day 123.
Happy Memorial Day weekend! The unofficial start to summer and good fun times. In Florida the summer is full of heat, humidity and afternoon thunderstorms, as well as my favorite thing: cheaper prices on everything from hotels to golf fees.
Today’s photos will be more shots from the “One Ocean” show at SeaWorld. Both of these were taken with my Canon EOS D30.

Welcome to the Seeing Florida blog series, Day 122.
Today will start a series of days showing some pictures from SeaWorld. It won’t be a tour or anything like that. Most will be from the “One Ocean” show, including today’s, and you can view a video of the show by clicking on this link: <iframe width="560" height="315" Really Long Link frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I’ve learned a new little effect in some software and that’s what today’s two photos have. I took two fairly bland and ordinary photos and used the effect and it seemed to give them some life. I’m learning as I go with all that software stuff too. Both of these pictures were taken with my Canon EOS D30.

Welcome to the Seeing Florida blog series, Day 121.
As any photographer would try to do, and I use the title of photographer loosely for I am no professional, I attempt to capture insects. They certainly have proven to be a challenge. They are quick, unpredictable, and small.
The first picture is of a butterfly that was flying around Heritage Village. It kept landing briefly on flowers and then flying crazily and then landing on another. I took a lot of photos and this was the best I was able to get.

The second picture is of a dragonfly that I captured at War Veterans Memorial Park. It’s not a close-up shot but at least it came out clear.
