PHANTOM DRAFT Selections 1-10
November 11th 2007 07:07
THE draft is coming up so without further ado, here is my top 10 selections for 2007.
Pick One (CARLTON)
Matthew Kreuzer (200/94)
Carlton obviously wants Kreuzer, they need a decent ruckman, this was a fairly obvious choice.
Pick Two (RICHMOND)
Cale Morton (185/80)
This was a very tough choice between Cale and Trent Cotchin, but I think Richmond will go for Cale, simply because of the trade they did to get Mitch Morton from West Coast.
Pick Three (WEST COAST)
Trent Cotchin (185/80
West Coast won't let Cotchin slip pass, he is a great young player at bottom age and with great skills.
Pick Four (MELBOURNE)
Chris Masten (180/77)
Melbourne are almost certain to go small here after they secured Pick 14, Chris would be a great fit for the Demons.
Pick Five (WESTERN BULLDOGS)
Ben McEvoy (200/95)
The second best ruckman in the draft and could also be a good, young, tall forward.
Pick Six (ESSENDON)
Brad Ebert (188/85)
Toss of the coin between him and Rhys Palmer, the Bombers need a good inside midfielder, and luckily their prayers have been answered.
Pick Seven (FREMANTLE)
Rhys Palmer (181/80)
A local boy and a good midfielder, exactly what the Dockers want.
Pick Eight (BRISBANE)
Lachlan Henderson (196/92)
A KPP that has been touted as one of the standouts of this draft sice U/16's and Brisbane won't let him slip.
Pick Nine (ST. KILDA)
David Myers (191/86)
A classy HB Flanker/ Midfielder that was confronted by the Saints at Draft Camp.
Pick Ten (ADELAIDE)
Cyril Rioli (177/79)
A quick FP/ Midfielder with great skills and awareness around goals.
