Welcome to the Classical Music Journal
July 13th 2006 09:10
Hi, and welcome my Classical Music Journal.
As I'm just starting this out, I thought it might be an idea to give a bit of a statement of what I intend to do with it.
The purpose of this blog is as a point of classical music information, presented in articles, that is accessible to musicians and non-musicians alike. It is my hope that anyone interested in classical music(by which I don't just mean music from the classical era, but all western art music throughout history) will be able to stop by here and hopefully leave with some insights or interesting trivia they might not have had priorly.
If you disagree with what I write about, fantastic. Music is a constantly evolving force and any discussion about it is rarely met without any contrary views, and I'd encourage you to voice what you think on the message boards. If you see that I have made some grievous error in my research or an obvious typo or similar mistake, please point it out to me somehow and I'll fix it as soon as I can.
My subject matter will be varied and hopefully I'll write about enough different things to appeal to most people. If there's something that you want to know more about, or have a question I might be able to answer, or there's simply something you want to see me writing about here, please send me your suggestions via email or message here. I can always be reached at ihatelibby(at)hotmail.com. I hope that suggestions from people would give me enough material that I'm rarely stuck for a subject to write about.
Thanks for stopping by. If you have any comments or suggestions, drop me a line at ihatelibby(at)hotmail.com.
