The situation at NRL Club the South Sydney Rabbitohs continues to spiral downward, as NRL Results and their 2008 NRL Table position continue to anger fans and management - previous saviour Peter Holmes a Court is set to quit his post as executive charmain as rumours abound about a fallout between Holmes a Court and Russell Crowe.
The Rabbitohs are sitting on one single NRL victory after 10 rounds of competitive Rugby League and regardless of the Craig Wing injury, the side should have performed much better week in week out.
Coach Jason Taylor remains under the pump as internal Souths' sources suggest that Russell Crowe is not only about to appoint a replacement for Holmes a Court, but also employ a high profile assistance to help Jason Taylor with his day to day operation of the coaching post.
While NRL is extremely competitive and many question the quick turn around of coaches, several are starting to question the constant team and squad changes that Jason Taylor is making on a regular basis. While you want the form team on the park at any time, you simply cannot make wholesales changes week in week out otherwise combinations won't be formed and the team cannot build a platform for future displays.
In other NRL News, David Gallop has come out to suggest that crowded Sydney clubs are at risk of perishing due to poor crowds and limited funds from Leagues clubs. As regional clubs continue to improve, Gallop has suggested that Sydney clubs need to merge or move as the pressure builds on the NRL to keep building a successful Sydney game as AFL and other winter Australian sports continue to make inroads into the NRL's usual heartland.
