Peter Brock's gone?
September 9th 2006 09:20
I can't believe it! What a week... First Steve Irwin is gone, now Peter Brock?! What is happening to Australia? Is this the beginning of armageddon? Is this a conspiracy by the Americans to make sure they are the only nation dominating entertainment and sports?!
Or dare I say it, again, is this a brillkiant PR stunt? A graceful exit to get an aging sportsman out of the scene without having to retire. A way to forever be remembered as fast, young and the gentleman of racing.
I tell you what regardless, only a few days ago a certain online organisation (ahem msn) had the words "your say: the life of a legend" splashed across their site in regards to Steve. I couldn't believe it after the Peter Brock story broke, I saw 'your say: the life of a legend". Allamygawd, show the dead some respect and write a new sentence! It's not that hard... Only 6 - 8 words and a punctuation or two... I just think it's so very wrong to have a stock standard death notice 'insert dead Australian celebrity name here'.
