Personality of Handwriting and a small comment about Slash fiction
May 13th 2009 00:08
I don't normally do quizzes online. I hate them, but there's a person I `internets know' who writes great Riddler fan fiction (yep, there's a sentence you don’t see often) whose page damos.livejournal.com, I often swing by to check for new stuff. (Yes, I know it'd be easier to make a live journal account myself and get notifications... but I seldom blog here let alone somewhere else, and I’m against place keepers on principal).
I might do a `repostings' entry of a comment about one of his stories one day, as they are really quite good. I've encouraged him to rework them into script format and submit to DC (or to write something else for an indie first and build a name, since DC dont tend to take unsolicited scripts). With so many bad fanfic writers out there I was quite pleased to discover a good one! I don't like everything he writes; he does some Batman/Superman slash that I avoid. No, I'm not put off by homosexual activity in stories- although, when it's the only point in the story I find it difficult to relate- but writing other people's characters out of character is a big no no in my book. There are a few other superheros who are bi or gay to write about so that you don’t have to go pretending Bats and Supers are too- probably not proportionally enough from a accurate/fair representation perspective, but that's another issue. And besides, why not write fanfic about Apollo and Midnighter instead? Anyone?
But I digress...
The point is; he'd done the handwriting test, so I thought, as one Riddler fan to another, that I might as well to. My results:
"Your handwriting bears the mark of someone with a fab sense of humor who loves being around friends. You're probably a good communicator and often find yourself in the captain's seat when working on group projects.
Your self-confidence and ability to laugh at yourself (you know you're a big dork but you like it) attract lots of admirers and once in a while you get in trouble for being too over-the-top. You probably decorate your personal space with lots of photos and silly items and sometimes let things go until the last minute."
This is pretty accurate. `Wow' I thought... (In an arrogant kind of way) then I discovered that there were only four personality type results possible in this particular test, and they were all similarly complimentary. Lame. Or maybe we're all not so different after all? Anyhow here's the website where the quiz was:

Looks like there's actually some fairly interesting stuff there; might browse a bit when I have another tea break.
But, for now, back to wrok...

Also my actual handwriting is far, far messier than any of the possible choices they gave in the test, so I guess my personality is like the above description, but worse somehow.

you know you could probably get a Recognition of Prior Learning at medical school by submitting some really messy handwriting
