Public Transport - by Ploy

PDA - I ain't talkin Personal Digital Assistant either!

October 31st 2006 01:48
I get on the train at one of those stations that isnt a main stop so my train is rarely ever packed, so people usually get a seat. If I catch the 8:17 train, there are a few couples that get on the train. These couples are in their mid 30s. I think its cute that they can walk to the station together and catch the train. Once on the train they usually read or talk quietly amongst themselves. Of course there are a few exceptions...

There is this one couple, probably late 20s, both kinda daggy, kinda nerdy. The guy looks like Dilbert and the girl, well, she doesnt look like a girl...They get on at the stop after me. When I'm "lucky" enough, they sit in the same carriage as me. Instead of being embarrassed or caring about what other people are thinking, these two make out on the train. 'm not freaking talking about "Home and Away" type PG kissing. Im talking saliva and tongue and all of that stuff involved in "Making out". When I saw it for the first time I was like "For Fucks Sake, dont you get any at home? Do you want me to throw up my breakfast?"

Regardless of them being a "Daggy" couple or a "Good looking" couple, I think its innapropriate. I've never been a fan of PDA. Maybe cause its a cultural thing? Maybe because I don't like people looking at me being "Intimate" with my partner. I get embarrassed with a kiss on the cheek when I catch the train with my partner. I've always wondered if the person in the seat behind me is looking at me thinking "You slapper you!!!" I'm sure I'm just paranoid (As per usual).

Anyways, back to "Daggy" Couple...Get this, I get to work one day, and to my horror, I find they both work in the same building I do... Geez Louise!

I'm a bit the same - not a fan of dry-humping in public areas.

Holding hands and the odd kiss on the cheek are ok - but some people take it too far. And trains are jsut the most romantic seetings these days....
