How much website does $2700 buy?

The fight to be seen online
Fighting Words...

My new website is live at last!

It cost $2700, many weeks of effort and a few sleepless nights.

I love it. But do YOU think it was worth it?

New Small Business Owner Blog

MYOB Mind Your Own Business
Good people with which to work!

Dear friends & supporters,
This is something I’ve been working on for several months.
It just went LIVE!
I thought I’d tell you, as I’m rather proud of it.
I also intend it to be entertaining & useful, so you may wish to check it out from time to time.
Down the track, we could even feature YOUR small business story.
Funnily enough, I don't use MYOB. I see this as testament to their flexibility & my dispassion.
Best of all, they've let me retain my 'voice', so if you've enjoyed Surreal Short Stories, you're in for more laughs.
Best regards,
P.

99/100. It is a so happy day!

That's not me, but you get the idea...

Dear Team, today I cracked Orble's Top 100. And I'm No. 2 in Writing! I'm thrilled to bits that all this effort is actually paying off.

I'm not sure whether this sudden success is due to Digg, Twitter, StumbleUpon, Technorati, Squidoo, myBRC or the Shiva statue in my water feature.

Rest assured, however, that when I find out which of my many recent Web 2.0 initiatives has paid off, you'll be the first to know.

With best regards & sincere thanks for all your support.
P.

PS: fog, per your kind suggestion, I emailed Orble Admin re copyright. Will let you know how I get on.

Why does everything take 2.5 years?!

ABC Australian Broadcasting Commission Short Story
ABC, 1, 2, 2.5...!

Last weekend, ABC Radio broadcast one of my pieces across Australia. This is without doubt the high point of my writing career to date. They did a really good job producing it & the reader, James Saunders, was fabulous.

Can you be trusted with the truth?

It's hard for a Western Capitalist to imagine the cosmic 'pie' to be infinite. My instinct is that if you experience the edge I discovered today, you'll get more & I'll get less.

Synergy for success!

I'm finally starting to get the hang of this passive income caper. Who better to share my hard-won discoveries than with you? REMO & Squidoo have lately delivered loot. This has inspired me to make a Squidoo lens about REMO. It's a fast, easy way for you to see if either of these money-making initiatives should be in your armoury. Click HERE to go there!

It didn't happen at first, but it DID happen!

Well, it's a red-letter day at Empire House. Today, after 2.5 years of striving & more false dawns than an arctic sleepover, I finally made my first, fair dinkum, cash-in-the-bank passive income!

Thank you, Seliva. I sure have missed doing my arty, literary tweets. I've had do to some moving and shaking to adjust the Empire to the new conditions. When things settle down, however, I shall return!

Thanks for taking the time to write your review. I'll be collecting all comments into a file for analysis and application in a few weeks. Sounds like I'm on the right tram with you, however. I hope your novel is progressing well. Best regards, P.

Thank you, katyzzz. I appreciate your answer. When it comes to feedback, 'both barrels' is the only way. I love it, as it gets me closer, faster. Bring it on! I've been away so long. Busy busy days. But mainly good fun. It's great to see you as alert and loyal as ever! Best regards, P.

I thought your Twitter dance card looked a little empty, Janet. Is it because you're flirting on the inside?

That is a reallocation of funds. I was at $50.01 when I was declared EVIL. Google rounded down and did a random search of their NOT EVIL souls. It's your lucky day! I'm happy for you, but still pretty upset, so maybe test your Froot Loops on the dog before tucking in tomorrow... Hung for a penny, hung for a pound!
