One of my best mates has just launched an original cartoon site.

Brilliantly conceived & beautifully wrought, it absolutely wipes the floor with mine. So do yourself a favour & check it out.

If these pictures don't get syndicated by a national daily newspaper by the end of 2009, I'll eat my hat.

When you get there, leave a comment. It'd be much appreciated. Best regards, P.

My debt to Orble.

December 2nd 2008 09:30
karma blog blogging orble cash passive income dollar
For the record: Orble got me started.

It's clear I've become a rabid fanboy of Squidoo. How utterly ironic, then, that on the very day I actually earn some income from a 'rival' system, I achieve Level 10 karma on Orble!

Two years ago I dreamed of the day this would happen. I never thought it actually would. And I can honestly say I got more of a buzz from this fee-free honour than the $1.62 I've been waving in everone's faces all day long.

So, let the record show: I'd never have started blogging were it not for Orble. Despite its technical flaws, it remains a wonderful community of which I'm very proud to be a part.

I offer my humble gratitude to all those who have made Orble possible.

10 points for anyone who can link the photo with my news.

Thank you & good night!

passive income cash money dollar cents
Squidoo delivers loot where all others have failed!

Ye gods! It's only been a few weeks, yet today I spotted $1.62 in the Pending Earnings Section of my Cartoon Sheep Squidoo lens!

What a rush! My first ever passive income stream (or, at least, tinkle). I said I'd let you all know, so there you go. Thanks heaps for your interest and support. Will keep you posted. Off to buy some mixed lollies now. Best regards, P.

2 go in, but only 1 comes out!

OK. So Cib asked the question: Is Squidoo better than Orble? This got me thinking, so I loaded up some of the same Cecil the Sheep cartoons that can be found on this blog. It's therefore a fair fight.

Hear hear! I saw it last night & was most disappointed. I'd missed the last 5 or 6 Bond films & now see no reason not to do the same again.

I thought a female M was a great innovation. But dropping Q really gave me the P! There's only so much you can do with a tiny little pistol. And that's not much at all.

Some critic said this film was '....more Bourne than Bond'. I heartily agree with this assessment & will return to my thinning Thunderball videotape forthwith! P.

Dear Cib, I nearly fell off my chair when I got the news. Such a small sum, but such a huge breakthrough after being excommunicated for this life (& probably the next!) by Google AdSense.

Squidoo has a varied suite of monetarising modules that you pick & place. You choose the ones that suit your particular 'lens' content, set your preferences & away you go.

There are Google ads, but Squidoo collects & distributes the loot, so EVIL people like me can participate in the world again.

You also get commissions from ebay, Amazon, travel firms & other stuff that I haven't even looked into. It's completely up to you & it's ridiculoulsly simple.

The big question is: will my $1.62 fortune grow, or was it an anomaly? Watch this space! With best regards & many thanks for your interest. P.

Dear, Cib. Thanks for playing, but D wins the cookie. She does have an edge, living in Florida! I like your idea, D, but I feel Ad's cartoons are superior to mine & also of a different genre. We plan to help each other up, rather than mix our styles. With any luck, we'll both hit paydirt one day. Must fly now, real world is on the phone & it's long distance rates! Will repond to your other kind comments soon, Cib. Best regards to you both. P.

Dear Cib, I never picked you for a gamer! What a surprising & refreshing post! I've been playing Company of Heroes for 2 years & have been too scared to start up another obsession, despite a good mate telling me how ace Rome: Total War is. I may just have to give it a shot. Thanks for sharing. Best regards, P.

I'm jealous, jealous, jealous! I wish you God's speed (which is not for the faint hearted). Also, you may like to get a new scribe. Your current one has no respect for apostrophes. Best regards & good luck! P.

Geez! A man makes his fortune & everyone suddenly comes out of the woodwork!

As my dear mother Barbie Hassing wrote in a calligraphy book that I didn't discover until months after her death: 'If you are successful you win false friends & true enemies. Succeed anyway.'

It was like a message from the afterworld. I tore out the page, put it in a protective plastic sheath & fixed it to my filing cabinet. I read it often.

I love the 'Deer Drive 3D Action Hunting PC Shooter' ad (including free download!!!) that loaded (tee hee) with this poem. Proof that the machines still lack tact and are therefore a few years yet away from conquering humankind. P.
