“Ni no Kuni – The Another World” is an RPG collaboration between anime vets Studio Ghibli (Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Howl’s Moving Castle) and Japanese game developer Level-5 (Professor Layton, Jeanne D’arc, Inamuza 11).

The game was first announced for the Nintendo DS. Now it is being ported to Sony’s Playstation 3 console in HD.

Nintendo has announced their successor to the Nintendo DS handheld--and its called the 3DS.
It will incorporated 3D graphics and effects without requiring the user to wear glasses. The new system will also play old DS and DSi games. It launches next year in Japan.

Killzone 3 coming in 2011

Acording to a LinkedIn profile, Guerilla Games is currently working on 2 new games, and sources from 1up say Sony and Guerilla Games will release the third installment in the Killzone franchise in 2011

Zelda Wii sequel confirmed for 2010

In an interview with Japan's Asahi Shimbun today (via SuperPowerBros), Nintendo President Satoru Iwata confirmed that the Wii's new Zelda sequel will release by the end of 2010.

Whether that 2010 release applies outside of Japan is unclear

Unreal Engine 3 heads to iPhone

Epic Games has gotten their popular Unreal Engine 3 operating on the iPhone, and says that it will be used to play games on the iPhone 3GS as well as an unnamed mobile platform. The game engine has been used by a boat-load of games, but more recently in titles like Bioshock 2 and Borderlands

Dark Void goes 8-bit on the Nintendo DSi

Capcom has just released some interesting information regarding its upcoming release Dark Void, namely that the project was once envisioned for the NES, and that a re-imaginig of its 8-bit incarnation will be headed to Nintendo's DSi.

The Infernal City, an upcoming novel set in the Elder Scrolls universe, is set to be released in the US on November 24th, and thanks to a blurb about the book, we now know that an Elder Scrolls V is likely in the works
