Spaghetti Meat Sauce

September 9th 2010 23:46
INGREDIENTS

1 pound lean ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 can (15 oz.) petite tomatoes
¼ cup spaghetti seasoning ( I use Tones Spicy Spaghetti Seasoning)
1 Tablespoon olive oil
3 Tablespoons firmly packed brown sugar

* You can use this same recipe for goulash, but add 1 can of tomato soup instead of two cans tomato sauce, ¼ cup diced green bell pepper and 1 diced clove garlic.

DIRECTIONS

Brown ground beef with onion, drain. Stir in tomato sauce, tomatoes, oil and brown sugar; blend well. Simmer, covered, over a medium-low heat 15 minutes, or until heated through.

TIP
Making spaghetti sauce taste better, is healthy and is more cost effective than store bought.
