Priorities and Such

May 17th 2008 04:07
What are you going to do when I oust you? What are you going to do when everyone knows what you did, and the majority of those people aren't in your inner circle, and cheering you on? They will think you're despicable. How will you deal with that? Have you thought of that? You know, most reasonable people: read, a jury of your peers who aren't as screwed-up as you, will think you are an utter waste of an human being. They will think you're a monster for the crimes you've perpretated toward me. Not all people are like the people who are in your clique; in fact, I can't reasonably believe that all the people in your clique are as heartless and misogynistic as you are, contrary to what they let you believe. That many people can't be so evil, can they? Maybe they can, so be it. Such is life. That's your and their problem, not mine.

What are you going to do when you find out I just don't give a damn, because I really don't. Then what? What's next? Up the ante? What if I don't care even then ( I probably really won't)? How will you kill the rage inside of you then? Prey tell, no pun intended.

What are you going to do when you end up hanging yourself, figuratively speaking? Mark my words: It will happen.

What are you going to do when you lose everything because of your misdeeds? Ooh, I can't wait to see your face when you find out there are consequences? Your comeuppance is crowning. Can you feel it? The labor of your karma is coming; I relish in its arrival. Its birth, your death - my rebirth.

The dominoes are lining up and they're just waiting for you to tip them over and get the momentum going. I wait with baited breath. I've moved my pawn, when will you move your rook? Logic dictates when, I know, and logic dictates how, so I prepare for my countermove -- is your King protected?

What will you do when your daughter finds out what you've done? I'd love to hear that conversation. She's already in a precarious situation, what, with all your yelling at her that makes her run into her room and cry her eyes out. Do you care that you're ruining yet another woman, your typical modus operandi? Do you film her too? Is that how you found out about her party? A transgression you can't forgive her for... Do you film her friends getting changed and showering? I bet you do, because you can't help yourself. A voyeur is a voyeur is a voyeur.

Speaking of her, do you find it weird that she and I have the same exact eyes? I do. What does it mean that she and I resemble one another? Same eyes, same smile, same silliness...it worries me. I don't want her to meet the same fate as me - to be destroyed by you, or someone like you. But what else can it mean? I ponder on this often and don't like the images I find. What do you think it means?

Who's eye's are these? Can you tell?
Who's eye's are these, can you tell?

Why don't you monitor her like you do me? Why are your priorities so misplaced? Do I mean more to you than she does? I find that difficult to believe, but the facts dictate otherwise. How is it that you know every move that I make, but not hers? Again, where are your priorites? Are you that screwed-up? I guess so. Why did you fight so hard for her only to want to throw her away? The first thing she does wrong and you want to ship her off? And you say I'm cold. She's your daughter! Typical of you.

Is money tight? How come? I've heard you were looking to sell your waverunners. At the height of summer too. By jove! I told you you'd have to sell off assets at some point - is one red, per chance? Even though you've changed your mind, it would still count, and even if it isn't red, I'm giddy with delight.

Loaded question; What will you do when I write my expose manuscript for all the world to read? We all know you're a hyprocrite. How ever will you deal?

Enjoy your summer home ( while you still have it)! How are those ghosts treating you? How many people do you suppose OD'd on your wares? Ever think that maybe the ghost that was haunting you way back when was one of those lost souls you supplied? There are more - and they're coming - can you hear them rattling in the darkened halls, punctuating the space you inahabit? Be ready. They want your neck in their grasp, and they'll get it too. Be careful on those stairs in your home, because that's where they're hiding, waiting to trip you up, and make you descend into the abyss of your downfall. Watch your step my "friend."

I know what's going to happen. Oh yes, I do, and I warned you. You had your chance to change your fate and you scoffed at it. I'm glad.

Check mate....

Claustrophobia

January 23rd 2008 02:00
Do you feel like God
Watching my every move
Does that endeavor ease your innate feeling of self impotence

Does it help quell the anger
Dissipate the powerlessness
you’ve felt since your childhood beatings

Does it feel good to be the abuser
Rather than the abused

An incarnation of dear old dad
You look like him
Inside and out.

You’ve turned it all around
The little boy who cried inside
Examining his bruises
Now inflicts them upon others

The boy who was locked in the closet
In the dark
Not knowing why
Has risen
or rather fallen
To the depths of his torturer

That bankrupted little boy
is now a man
In word only
You suck the light out of people
by peddling to their dark addictions

Do you feel like God
When they come to you
Shaking for a fix
You can take away their pain
for a price

Sell them the key
that will make it all go away
Lock them in the closet
of their desperation
Feed their demons
and fuel their destruction
With your white “gold”

Lock them in and take away the key
Line your pockets with the money of desperation and pain
Help them sell their soul
The master has the key
And he’s locking them all in
Beating them up with his trade
So that they will cry in the closet
and cower in the corner
like you did

Maybe they’ll OD
Then they’ll be locked in a coffin
For eternity

But you can buy a boat
And spend the summer at your vacation home
Both keys bought with their pain
Can you sense all the ghosts of lost souls there
Crying in the closet
Cowering in the corners

You hold all the keys now
If only you held the key to your soul
And could unlock the door to your discontent…

But you are still that little boy
Crying in the closet
Cowering in the corner
Blocking the blows
Examining the bruises
That will never disappear

Amber Alert

December 27th 2007 07:16
Amber Hagerman
Tonight I witnessed first hand the power of an Amber Alert. It was the typical scenario (if any child abduction could be described as "typical"). Two children were abducted when their parents’ car was stolen. Thankfully, it didn’t have the all too tragic and common ending, and the children were found just two hours later with the abandoned car - most likely because the perpetrator heard the Amber Alert on the radio and knew he was toast. This was the first time I saw the Amber Alert in action and I was impressed with its power.

For those who have never heard of the Amber Alert, it was born out of the tragic abduction of nine-year old Amber Hagerman. On January 12, 1996, Amber was riding her bike just two blocks away from her grandparent’s house with her five-year old brother, Ricky. Her brother left Amber to return to their grandparent’s house, because they were told to only be gone for one ride around the block. When he got back to the house his grandfather asked him to go back and get Amber. Ricky came back and said he couldn’t find her. Her grandfather, alarmed, jumped into his vehicle to find her. When he got where she was last seen riding her bike he was met by a police officer and the sight of Amber’s bike, without Amber. Keep in mind, just eight minutes had gone by since Amber went for her bike ride. Eight minutes.

"That was it," she said. "Eight minutes—eight minutes from the time she rode away on her bicycle until that man called 911. People have to know that this is how fast these things can happen" said Glenda Whitson, Amber’s Grandmother.

The man who called 911 was Jim Kevil. "I saw her riding up and down [the vacant lot]," he told reporters. "She was by herself. I saw this pickup. He pulled up, jumped out and grabbed her...When she screamed, I figured the police ought to know about it, so I called them. I wish I had known more. I done all I could do." Police think it was a crime of opportunity; he (the abductor) waited until Amber’s brother left her alone and in those mere seconds he snatched her.

Her body was found four days later in a creek bed. Her throat had been slashed. Police say she was kept alive for a few days before she was murdered. Her killer remains at large and the case is still open. This January will mark the twelve-year anniversary of her abduction.

After Amber’s body was found a man called into a local radio station and made a suggestion: “When a child is abducted and each minute matters, why can't the police and the media get together to inform the public with the same urgency of, say, a weather warning about a tornado or a hurricane?” Texas adopted it and the US Department of Justice followed suit. It is now utilized in all fifty U.S. states.

Glenda Whitson says of the Amber Alert: "My heart drops down to my shoes," she says, "because I know just what those people (the parents) are going through." "It feels good when some child is brought home and our baby helped," says Mrs. Whitson. "You just look up to heaven and say, 'You did it again, baby'...Of course I know sometimes it doesn't turn out good, but the Amber Alert gives them something more to go on from the very start."

Well… she did it again.

I just typed out a whole long story and it disappeared. I'm so angry! It took an hour to type it out. My internet explorer conked out and now it's gone.

Merry Christmas to me from the internet-glitch grinch...

I don't think she's sexy at all. She's trying to hard.

I don't think Marilyn Monroe was sexy either.

I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder...

What's he going to design? Clothing for children perhaps? I can just hear him saying to his future victim child friend (same thing?) "My, what lovely attire you have..." in his high-pitched estrogen riddled voice.

If that picture you have posted is any indication, he's either going to be broke or people are going to walk around looking like a cross between C-3PO and a transformer. And why is there what looks to be a half-dollar in the crotch of his pants? Is it a shilling for the next victims young fans in the crowd, or is he just happy to see them?

Can you tell how much I like him?

It sounds like something I'd hate.

Too predictable and tied together. It's just not realistic.

I look forward to it!

Whatever do you mean?

Patricia

I know, I've been busy. But I'm back - for now

I won't see it in the theater, but I'll probably rent it later.

I trust you'll let me know how it is and tell me all the spoilers, though. Right?!
