Parramatta Eels worse than their NRL Table spot says Peter Sterling

Peter Sterling has poured more fuel on the fire at the Parramatta Eels this morning, with the leading commentator confirming what many thought to be true in 2008, the well heeled Eels are bumbling and fumbling their way through the NRL season, and if not for some lucky wins they realistically could have had 0 wins from 6 starts this year.
On the Channel 9 Sunday Footy Show, Sterling said he felt the Eels were extremely lucky to beat the Bulldogs in NRL Round 1 2008, then scrape home recently against the Panthers and the St George Illawarra Dragons by a single field goal point.
The Eels had the Tim Smith saga earlier in the year and have also had injury woes with Kris Inu, and Ben Smith spending time on the sidelines as the Eels battled for improved NRL Results.
Fortunately for Parramatta their NRL Table position is still not bad considering how poor their Rugby League form has been.
With a bye this coming weekend, then some form in the following weeks - they could just as easily climb up into the Top 8 and mount a late charge for the premiership. It's been said before, but generally the teams peaking too early in the year are unable to sustain the quality and consistency at the back end of the season.
