Parramatta Eels NRL 2008 Season Slipping Away
June 5th 2008 14:43
The Parramatta Eels are struggling badly in the 2008 NRL season, sitting on 12 competition points on the NRL Table, their ladder position is helped by 2 byes already received and after narrow, heartbreaking losses to both the Brisbane Broncos and Manly Sea Eagles the Eels have let many chances slip.
With former half Tim Smith now long gone and the new combinations only just starting to form, the Eels need to bag a win against the Canberra Raiders at Parramatta Stadium or risk not only losing touch with the front running NRL Rugby League teams, but missing the finals for the first time in 3 years.
With the likes of Nathan Hindmarsh, Nathan Cayless and others getting on in age, the Eels won't get too many more cracks at the big NRL premiership prize if they can't pull it together soon enough.
