Paris - Vampire Wars

September 24th 2010 08:41
Apologies for the lack of posts lately. I'm trying to organise people to enter the 48 Hour Film Competition, and that's taking precedence with me at the moment.

Anyway, here's a bunch of things:

* Reinstall the toolbar to get a 25FP boost.

* It takes 585 energy and 343 fleur-de-lis to complete all parts of chapter one, and it'll pay out 702 xp.

* In contrast:

-- Russia was 585 energy, 353 roubles.
-- Mandyland was 585 energy, 343 tickets.
-- New Orleans was 648 energy, and 448 dolls, but there were only three chapters.

* How many fleur-de-lis will we need in total? Well...

-- Russia needed:

353, 412, 490, 538, 607, 685 = 3085 roubles

-- Mandyland needed:

343, 412, 490, 538, 607, 685 = 3075 tickets

So, yeah, around 3100 fleur-de-lis at least for Paris.

* What's the drop rate? Well, doing the Save a vampire from hunters mission again... So far:

-- I've done it 577 times
-- I've got 542 fleur-de-lis (what's the plural of fleur-de-lis anyway?)

This means, it's roughly 11 clicks to get 10 fleur-de-lis.

It also means that, in terms of whether it's better to get 45 fleur-de-lis from the Collector or a 50% energy boost, if your energy is higher than about 960... let's say 1000... get the dead bull (if you're willing to click the mission over and over). Otherwise, buy the 45 straight.

In contrast:

-- Drop rate for roubles was slightly worse... took about 12 clicks to get 10 roubles.
-- Drop rate for tickets was slightly better. Took about 7 or 8 clicks to get 10 tickets.

* Which ability to get? Well... here's the breakdown:

Superior Horrific Transformation - 62/58
Superior Impervious - 38/44
Superior Flight - 60/58

Chapter 1 - Parisian Passion - 40/58 Defensive - 16 points over Superior Impervious (and surpassed by plenty of LE abilities)

Chapter 2 - Eternal vigilance - 65/60 Movement - 7 points over Superior Flight (surpassed in attack by plenty of stuff, but I think that defence atttribute is better than anything currently tradeable; the equal of Silvered Touch from Russia when that becomes tradeable)

Chapter 3 - Command Hunchback Bodyguard - 70/60 Offensive - 10 points over Superior Horrific Transformation (that defence attribute is the equal of Superior Strength of Kings and Possess Doll)

Chapter 4 - Control Gargoyles - 55/75 Defensive - 48 points over Superior Impervious (that attack attribute is pretty good, but surpassed by plenty of abilities)

Chapter 5 - Animate Skeletons - 70/70 Movement - 22 points over Superior Flight (defence attribute is better than any other ability so far; closest competition is Superior Flight 60/58, until Silvered Touch 60/60 from Russia becomes tradeable)

Chapter 6 - Summon Opera Ghost - 85/60 Offensive - 25 points over Superior Horrific Transformation

So... Chapter Four has the ability with the greatest number of points above the best-from-the bazaar, but not that much above the field of limited edition defensive abilities.

All abilities from chapters 3 to 6 are the equal or better of anything else tradeable. But of these, it looks like Animate Skeletons most surpasses anything else on the market.

Gah... late for dinner now... Going to a restaurant... Will quickly post some free links that have been circulating the clans.

Nonymous do you have any idea how much time does it take for the abilities to be tradeable?

Oh and another tip fpr your blog since I havenīt seen it posted, you can craft the devilīs hide wings in no time by clicking the "bribe" button, and it wonīt cost any FP, however it doesnīt work on feather wings.

Dear Drinsane,

Thanks for the wing-crafting tip. I'm a bit scared to try, in case it does cost me FP, but, yeah, I've never seen that tip anywhere!

About how long it takes... around two-to-four months from end of event, and there's no guarantee Zynga will make them tradeable at all.

From memory (which might be wrong), New York started mid-December, ended January 6, and wasn't tradeable till shortly before Mandyland started on March 16 . Mandyland in turn was only tradeable shortly before New Orleans started on June 10, and New Orleans still isn't tradeable now, almost four months later.
