Nana's ashes buried this morning... Beautiful place. In a garden of rest right next to a children's playground; we decided she would have liked that. Although one has to see the irony.
I miss my nana And wish the vicar hadn't seemed so darn happy. "Rejoice!" He said... She's in heaven. Yes, but I'm not quite at the stage where I can rejoice yet... Ok???
We got a good dose of fresh air this afternoon by going for a bike ride. Well... Charlie on his bike, felix in his buggy and me pushing both of them. Ouch.
Charlie then played in the garden for the rest of the afternoon and got absolutely filthy eating worms.
Oh well... You've got to eat a ton of dirt before you die.
Dinner party tonight;
Starter: Goats cheese and cranberry tartlets
Main: Roast Morrocan chicken with Cous cous
Dessert: Chocolate tart
All washed down with too much wine.
Followed by...
The youngest child waking up not being able to breathe.
Bloody typical.
Awful mother alert- too inebriated to deal with her own child being ill. (This is after only 3 glasses of wine follwing 18 months of near alcohol-free ness!).
Hmmmm... Said child is now sound asleep- I am not. Awake listening for every breath.
Hmmmm. Maybe I should do the washing up? Some washing? Or maybe not.
I think this shall be the blog of an honest mum.
One who sometimes swears in front of her children, even though she wishes she wouldn't.
One whose children watch too much CBeebies, but who knows that and needs to try harder
