Paragraph 7, Poem = I Want To Go Home
October 23rd 2008 03:27
This poem, in my opinion is about being depressed and not feeling normal.
Always searching to feel the way a person feels before depression takes
over.Because, in my case, I've never been the same.
I Want To Go Home
Just as Dorthy,
in the wizard of O.Z.
I've lost my way,
somewhere, in life.
And so,
as the scarecrow, at loss, for a brain.
I wander alone, in a foreign land.
With courage, of the cowardly lion
and the heart, of a tin man.
I search for these things, the same, as they had.
In hopes, of becoming whole, again.
Following the yellow brick road
mapped out in my mind,
wondering,
if when the emerald city, is in sight
the wizard of OZ, will still be a lie.
And if so,
will three clicks of those ruby red slippers,
carry me back, to a time that remembers
the embers of life, that once burned so bright ?
