Paragraph 18,Lost To Depression
November 13th 2008 18:43
It is not a place to lose ones self no doubt.Kind of like falling into a huge hole and discovering, there is no way out.I don't think I will ever find the path, but others have.
And it does leave just a bit of hope for me.Until that day arrives, I am lost to its control. This poem is how I feel when it removes itself, for at most, a day.Only to return in full force,
taking what control, I thought I'd gained
Lost To Depression
Ever so quietly, it beckons,
as, I succumb to its call.
I cannot see its presence
but, I damn sure feel the fall.
Within hours it has devoured
my entire universe.
Dousing any spark of life,
till, all that's left is hurt.
And so, begin the endless bouts
of doubt that plague my mind.
Leaving me to ponder,
why it is that I still breathe.
When the rest of me just wanders,
like a ship lost to the sea.
And it does leave just a bit of hope for me.Until that day arrives, I am lost to its control. This poem is how I feel when it removes itself, for at most, a day.Only to return in full force,
taking what control, I thought I'd gained
Lost To Depression
as, I succumb to its call.
I cannot see its presence
but, I damn sure feel the fall.
Within hours it has devoured
my entire universe.
Dousing any spark of life,
till, all that's left is hurt.
And so, begin the endless bouts
of doubt that plague my mind.
Leaving me to ponder,
why it is that I still breathe.
When the rest of me just wanders,
like a ship lost to the sea.
