Paragraph 12,Poem = She Does Not Live Here, Anymore !
October 28th 2008 01:52
Once, upon a time this is how I felt after taking some medication
my doctor had given me for ADHD. I felt like I was cured, but not
for long.I'd say a couple of weeks, or so. But it sure was a wonderful
couple of weeks.I found strength, I didn't know I, even had. Felt better
than I had in many years. And then the walls began to crumble in again,
and the clouds, began to linger. And my cure, was gone.
She Does Not Live Here, Anymore!
I hear you rapping at my door,
as I'm pacing forth and back
upon this hardwood floor.
For the person that you seek,
has gone to rest eternally.
'She does not live here, anymore'
She'd been here nearly twenty years,
carrying round a burdened heart
and stream of endless tears.
Keeping all her pain inside
her loss, of hope, her loss, of pride.
Not knowing why her light, so dim,
refused to let the sun shine in.
Why, must you keep
rapping at my door?
I will never let you in!
'She does not live here anymore'
It came a day last summer,
she took a pill a doctored given '
and the sun came out so bright,
giving back her joy and pride,
along with the will to go on living.
So, go now, let who she was
rest in peace,
'I said'
'She does not live here anymore!

Very nice.
I oft write that who I used to be has died; unfortunately, that was the happy one.
If only you could have been freed forever. But I suppose it just isn't meant to be.
