Pain From Where, I Do Not Know

He walks through the darkness searching for something, though his mind has forgotten what. The stabbing pain in his right arm, no he realizes it’s to his left, offset from the middle of his chest. His heart, no longer a stabbing pain, but instead a dull ache into his soul. Why do I feel pain here, I have just fallen form a high porch, onto a sharp stone, it is my arm that should pain me now not my heart. He hears a sweet voice but still keeps walking “Julian, are you alright?” He prepares to respond… “Im alright” but his voice betrays him, it shakes and he winces for he fears he has shown weakness. But the sweat voice remains persistent, coming ever so close to grasp his arm. He winces again, for the pain in his heart has masked the stabbing pain in his arm till now. “Im sorry” she says quietly as her soft hand pulls back. He turns to face her, and now his eyes betray him, a single tear rolls down his cheek, for this sweat girl is the one he loves. “Im sorry, you arm, you left so fast I didn’t know you were this badly hurt.” She says. “It’s not that,” he whispers,” its you, never mind you just don’t…know”. He starts to walk away again but now with a quickened pace. “Julian,” she calls out and runs to meet him, he stops” I don’t understand.” He begins to answer but instead embraces her with a kiss; she’s surprised at first but then pulls him close. And at that moment all his pain fades away, in that one embrace. Moments pass in that new paradise and he begins to lose time, the whole world goes motionless. Then their lips part, he can barely breathe, not fully comprehending what had just happened. She speaks first, still being held tight in his arms, “I…love you” she says, but then before another word can escape, he pulls her close for another embrace. This one lasting twice as long, till they part again, this time she feels dizzy and she must hold him tight to keep from falling. Then he utters his four words so only she can hear him, “I love you to”.
