Paid Posting
November 20th 2007 00:45
I've noticed a few people are starting to do paid posts again.
I don't want to ban this on Orble (for the moment) but please consider not doing paid posts on your blog. The search engines are currently punishing any blogs who do these posts and you are simply trading off short term gain against long term success. Also, not only are you hurting your own blog, you are hurting the entire Orble network because as your blog is penalised, all the links you have to other blogs in the network will be worth less.
It takes time and effort to create a profitable blog. There are no short cuts.
I wince every time I see a paid post on a good blog because I know what damage is being done.
Thanks,
Jon.
