we braided our hair and the horses manes and tails. we shucked corn and BBQ'd it on the grill. we had ribs, hot dogs and hung out outside all day and night. there was alot of smiles,laughs, and dreamy talks.
theres nothing like a bnfire with smores and hot dogs on a stick. not together ofcourse. <grins> we have ALOT of nights around bonfires here. sitting back,looking at the stars. it's the simple things in life that make it beautiful!! i LOVE free or almost free fun. fun taht can be had in your own little world, any day, any time of the year.

what lovely happy pictures! And you are absoluetly right, you don't have to be a millionaire or have a huge amount of expensive possessions in order to enjoy the beauty of life that surrounds you...
Simple pleasures are often much more enjoyable and soul cleansing than an expensive night out on the town surrounded by hoardes of people you don't know or understand and who don't know or understand you!
I too love living way up on my hill, isolated and far from the madding crowds below...I have my own land to ride on, my own trees, my own grass, my own little freshwater stream, my own horses, and my own porch to sit out on at night with a nice fire crackling in the pit and my telescope trained on the heavens...
Doesn't cost me a thing, but it makes me delirously happy and peaceful!
So many people overlook the "simple" things in life and concentrate on negativity...it's sad really, because they'll never truly experience nirvana...
They spend so much of their lives in a pointless quest for material things to keep up with the Jones's, that they often entirely overlook the simple, free gifts of life that are right under their own noses...
It doesn't cost you a dime to be a happy person and have inner peace...Too bad life isn't like that for everybody...It WOULD be nirvana! LOL

This sounds just like where i LIVE. it makes it easy to have a beautiful life and be thankful for this world we have been given. even if you don't have such a peacful place, life can still be beautiful. how many horses do you have, and what are there names?i love names. we have three horses. Mystical Moon Wildfire, Apache Wind[which i say Dreams instead of wind all the time <smiles>] and Blazing Fire.

It's just an amazing photo ...
One of my favourite films is Pulp Fiction ... Tarantino focuses on people (in close ups ... there's still plenty of background in the background even if people are the main focus of the photo (or cinematic shot) ...
I'm not a big fan of pictures where people aren't in them (even though I love nature ... [I'm just more interested in people than nature ...
Many people take pictures of people ... show me their photographs ... and it's like the person is ... where? ... Oh, that little dot in the middle? ... (schools should have obligatory/mandatory photography classes nowadays ... Nearly everyone in the civilised world is into photos or graphics ... so why not educate them as to what a great pic is ? ...
It's just a perfectly framed pic ... (there's heaps of background in it ... but the main focus is the girls themselves ...
If you take cinema? ... People don't go to the cinema to watch a nature doco ... they go there for a bit of escapism into other people's lives ... (so why not focus on the people's lives ...
I love close up shots ...
It is just such a great pic ...

i saw pulp fiction but only once and it's been a LONG time.
I LOVE how serious Krystinas face is. i also love the fact that Kaitlyns back is facing. i take alot of back pictures. i think they are beautiful.
