our greenhouse learned how to fly!
May 2nd 2007 03:46
The mess leftover after the greenhouse decided to fly." lol
after our beautiful day in which we celebrated May day, a wicked wind storm and lightening blew in. i had just headed inside while the rest of the gang ran to put plants on the ground. before they got to it i heard this REALY loud train like sound. the greenhouse frame, plastick and all flew up and over the house, and landed upside down in the front yard. it was pretty exciting and no big deal. some plants where lost. probably atleast half of them, but for us, greenhouseing is a hobby and not work. so no loss. The greenhouse once it flew over the house."
i'm just glad it didn't fly backwars. we have three cars sitting there. my trailblazers on four or five months old.
Plants that wouldn't fit in the greenhouse. so all about 150 of these are all saved." <smiles>
These will be plenty for the church's youth fundraiser. so all is still perfect.

i still can't believe that sucker flew right over our whole house.<smiles> we normally brace it down, but when we get bad wind storms, it tore some of the bars up. we had to bend them back. so the flying was maybe better. the whole thing almost stayed together. i don't think any plants will make it through but what was on the front porch. we'll gladly plant more. the good thing is, we where out of room for more. now we have plenty of room. <grins>

we're not in Kansas anymore Aunty Em! lolol It's a twister! It's a twister!
Perhaps you should ask Glenda the good witch to put your poor greenhouse back together again for you?
Glad your vehicles weren't damaged!
Take care,
Nick

This is the second week in a row towns around us hit. storage units picked up and slammed across the street.
The news is saying there trying to see if it was a tornado or not.
Thanks for the laugh!!! <grins> i just went through Kansas and saw a town wiped almost totaly out by a tornado. it was actualy just inside of Colorado but barely.
