This is Blazing Fire he headed straight toward us when we pulled up. it was like he was saying, "Hey, welcome home, where'd ya go?i wanted to go!! lol
our first food of the season!!
planting and growing your own food is amazing. i just love the feeling from it all. we have sooo many plants ready to go in the ground. we planted this strawberry garden two years ago and it's done sooo well. The birds get more then we do, i think though. <smiles>
Flower bushes in bloom at the park.
Spring is in full bloom and it is sooo amazing!! i LOVE Pennsylvania. sooo happy we relocated here. i needed to be here. it may not be where i'll always need to be. their are many changes in life but for this time in my life. This is where i'm meant to be.

I know what you mean about getting a kick out of growing fruits & veggies yourself. I've never really been much of a gardener, but I love watching my chillies, tomatoes and the grow.
Blazing Fire looks gorgeous! When I got home from Thailand on the weekend, I was just so happy to see my cat and dog again (not that the cat really cared that I'd come home....but I know he was excited on the inside!).

well, hope the bunnies atleast save you half!! They should atleast share.
i don't understand why i see sooo many grown bunnys right in our front yard. i know they have baby holes. we have four outdoor cats. well not soo much outdoor. we let them roam how they please. in or out and this time of year they are out. i hate that they get critters, but i refuse to lock them up inside. cats are meant to roam. mine are pretty good at leaving other things alone. just occasional critters right here at spring. The girls are REALY good at saving them pretty fast.

My cats ARE indoor cats... strictly indoor, but they still manage to bring in other critters. The kennel is fully enclosed, but it's enclosed by chain-link fence, which means small critters can get in, even though the cats can't get out.
Most common of the cats "gifts" to us are butterflies, and that's always so sad for me. Most of the time, we catch it right away and are able to release the butterfly back outside. I know its chances of survival are between slim and none, but at least it will have the honor of dying in its natural environment rather than it the clutches of a cat.
Aside from butterflies, the cats have brought me a frog and a bird, both still alive, unharmed, and released back into the wild.
It's the nature of cats to hunt, so while it's sad for me to see a wounded critter, it's not as upsetting as it is when I see animals mistreated or harmed by humans. Cats hunt on instinct, it's what they do, and in certain situations, it can be quite helpful. I'm not a fan of laying out mice poison, but I have no problem turning the cats loose in places I feel mice might be residing. It's nature's way of creating balance.

i like how you all have your fenced enclosure. makes it great for them to get outside, but not totally roam.
it is such a natural thing for them to hunt. my yorkies where origanly breeded in England or something like taht. i use to remimber all that sooo well. but anyhow they where breeded as rat dogs. so they hunt too. they seem to often find whats left over from the cats kill and run in the house with it. often you hear an OOHHH Gross!!! everyone else knows right away what it is, and most go running to see. "Not this "most" though!!" no way, not me, i don't want to see.
ok, i'm off to Ohiopyle for a day out and lots of pics.
