Ouch that hurt!

[SIZE=2] Do you think animals have feelings? Do you think animals have any senses that are worthy of consideration? Search the web for 'koko the gorilla' then reflect on your answer. We had 2 guinea pigs: one died. Within 48 hours the other was dead also. You could say that an infection killed them, that would be the simple answer. I believe that once one died the mate also died: died of a broken heart. It does happen in the wild just as it happens to husband and wife sometimes: one dies then the other passes away very soon after the death of the husband/wife/partner. Some species of birds have lifetime partners. The fact that we as the dominant species are unable to communicate with other species
we can barely communicate with each other in an humanstic manner oftentimes) dolphins for instance, whales. This does not mean that they-the animals- are unable to communicate or that they-the animals- do not have feelings. The fact is we do not understand what has been communicated. My heartfelt compassion for the great apes and many other species in danger of extinction goes out to them. I believe we should stop all testing of chemicals on animals. Hell, I'm not a mouse or a chimp. It's inhumane to continue this barbaric practice. Find a better way. I will not purchase products that have been tested on animals: nor should you if you have any empathy for the parlous plight of this planet./SIZE]
