Organic Childhood Choices

My organic skincare regimen started when I was still a teenager. Upto now, I am hooked to them. Here are 2 of my all time favorites:
Oats: When I was growing up, oat soap was *the* go to product for acne. It helps to gently exfoliate, and has soothing properties that help acne clear up. If you buy it at the grocery store, it also has the added benefit of being inexpensive. It’s usually found on the bottom shelf in the soap aisle.
Witch hazel: Like oat soap, this was an important part of my childhood fight against acne. The distilled product is found near the soap and is usually very inexpensive. It can act as a toner, antiseptic and moisturizing. It can be used on wounds, bruises, sprains and even insect bites. It’s a must have for any herbal first aid kit, as well.
