Well not really a convention, more of a get-together!

Many of your favourite Sydney Orblers will be meeting on Sunday the 15th of June at the Dolphin Hotel in Surry Hills from 3pm.

It's always lots of fun. Seeing Bryn and John Doe talk about films is truly a wonder of verbal dexterity!

I think I'd rather see it than read it, say hello to Bryn for me, I'm also known as misnasty, so I'll come along and spoil all the fun, tie Bryn to the chair, I would not miss him for the world. I just may take his photo, then again, I just may not.

Depends on the damn currency conversions.

I hate how the US economy is tanking, the dollar values are almost on the level... a hundred dollars six moths ago just doesn't carry the same value anymore.

Thank you GWB, you ruined my life and nicked a good $30 out of my already meagre pay.

Having one in Melbourne is a great idea. I'll set that up before the end of the year.

We have bloggers from all over the world now, mostly the USA, Canada, and the UK. It's making less sense to have it just in Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane, however they are still the cities with the highest concentration of Orblers.

Bryn, that's a nasty comment you made about the photo. Is it possible you were joking?

Please don't worry about me, I just wanted you tied to a chair where I may take your photo ( threat) or may not take it ( promise) but you're the horrorphile, not me, but the axe does sound like a rather sharp suggestion, right in keeping with your image I would think.

I know how much you'll be looking forward to seeing me, that is if you're game to come out of your lair.

im from Sydney but im on a temporary "hiatus" in Tazzy, my gap year . . . although i frequently visit the mainland due to my inability to adjust to the country lifestyle! haha

my profile might have an element of wishful thinking to it as Sydney will always be my cultural (and perhaps spiritual) home

i was only just up there the beginning of this month so i probably wont be back for a little while unfortunately . . . sometimes i sneak over to Melbourne as well but i dont know if i could fully commit to anything today

lets face it, im just scared of Katyzzz too

I was pissed off I couldn't make it but the weekend wasn't great: some family dilemmas, I was sick and my dog ate rat poison (at my parents place, not mine).

I was there, in full costume, axe and all and I put my account in of what happened.

I got a little distracted really, as I keep telling you 'the demon drink' but Bryn I just know you will be so excited about writing my new blog for me.

And I'm learning to be nice, even when people are horrible to me, but it is a bit difficult, but I'm trying and Mr. Rudd, esteemed Prime Minister, is footing the bill.

So here we are everyone who was and wasn't there, I certainly was and darling Bryn, don't be so hard on people they probably all had their reasons and didn't realize it was compulsory, oops, I think that wasn't very nice, please excuse me everyone.

Hi there folks,

sorry didn't make it, but I did say I would be a doubtful attendee, I think, and as it turned out, things worked against me getting into Sydders anyhoo..

BUT...drum roll...scraping of fingernails in labrynthian dungeons (all for Bryn's benefit)

NEXT TIME...I will try to be there...really...truly...ruly ...

So what did everyone talk about?

AND....NEW IDEA...!!!!!!!!!!!

What about an Orble XMAS SPECIAL, where we arrange a murder mystery dinner party....???

I can think of a victim....how about you?

There is a restaurant up here, in the mountains, that caters for exactly that!

Any takers???

PREDICTION...

Orble in the future will go LIVE TO AIR, we will have portable cameras on our Orble caps and do interviews and show the world our party tricks and stuff...and meet ups..and things...

I actually tried to get funding for just that, but in a therapy situation, for group therapy for those who couldn't make it to a clinic because they lived too far away, or had other problems restricting their movements, didn't win the funding though, pity..

I can see...in my mind's eye...

ORBLE TV!!!

"NOW, for the Orble news item of the day..."

And movie reviews...Bryn and KylieW strutting their stuff, MNG providing interesting interludes with guessing competitions...Louie and Lilla doing their thing and...sadly.. me.. at about 4am, doing a poetry reading that no one wants to watch...

so tharrr yah go me hearties...
