Orble team moves into web design

July 30th 2007 07:08
The Orble team is now moving into web design (for other people that is).

The company is called Vimu and we've set up a simple website with more info.

So if you know anyone who needs a website please let them know about us! If good will is not enough we also offer a 5% commission on any referred work.

Thanks,
Jon.

Holy cow Dr...that's quite a CV you have...!
You're a very modest person Jon.
(in other words...if I had those qualifications I'd have tattoed them on my forehead!)

Will pass the link on...have no need for commission if the link bears fruit.
Orble gave me a free site.

I'd be delighted to accept the 5% commission, [money makes the world go around the world go around the world go around]. Unfortunately I don't know anyone who needs this service. Sigh!

Good luck,

katyzzz

What a great idea! Thanks for the heads up! I'll hopefully have some referrals for you soon - commission or not.
Cheers!

What are your rates, how much for giving Orble a face lift then?

Can I get the 5% discount now since I am unsatisfied with the current design?

Also, what the hell? You have got to be joking:

DPhil (PhD) Engineering (Robotics, Computer Vision). Oxford University.

WOWZA!

What are you doing making websites? You're supposed to be working on the next terminator or something or another Unless of course it's all an elaborate ruse... You wan't people to think you're making websites as you really secretly work on a top secret robot that will help you take over the world OR something to that effect.

(btw Oxford is a dump ).

Ahmed, the Matrix is all around you. You're nothing but a battery for a whole army of robots.

Thanks guys.

Ahmed -- I'm currently working on my doomsday robot. I'll keep you posted.

I'm also currently thinking about redesigning the aesthetics of Orble. I also agree that some of the technical features could do with an upgrade. Always appreciate feedback as well. If you have any ideas let me know.

Never seen Survival Research Labs -- I'm guessing it's some kind of horror 70's series of films?

Bunch of American industrial engineers who make automatons and robots and then pit against each other in staged events ... They've filmed some of these shows, and even made a short film called A Bitter Message of Hopeless Grief ... One of the main guys blew his hand off while making a robot. Fascinating stuff.

Yeah, you're right ... SRL have been going for years and years ... I remember seeing their short film at a festival when I was barely out of my teens ... I hoped to find it on youtube, but to no avail ... I remember one engineer had his robot equipped with a sonic cannon!!!

Sounds like it is much better than robot wars... I always thought it was a little tame. Sonic cannons sound a bit more interesting.
