Operation Tiger Hammer was a mission and part of the Iraq War in 2003. The Iraqui Army made a cordon, and then they began a district search of the Adhamiyah District on June 07. The mission was supported by the 1 and 3 battalions of the 1st Brigade.
Baghdad soldiers from the 1st battalion and the 26th infantry participated and volunteered a 82 airborne division. The four hour operation collected nine detainees and 38 weapons.
After sunrise the USA troops were able to block position in the neighbourhood as the Iraqi units fanned out in order to scour the streets. There was a major search on the loose for weapons.
No US deaths were recorded.
