Evony Earnings

November 4th 2009 02:34
Can free browser games such as Evony Free Forever survive long term? Heavily reliant on the optional purchase of in-game coins - the developers rely heavily on players getting addicted to these MMORPG style games and wanting to take things to the next level.

Blizzard were the early gurus of this, doing it well with World of Warcraft and before that with Diablo.

Putting together a good game, then luring in players who become engrained and eventually shell out cash to keep playing (in Blizzards case on a monthly basis)

But for the free browser game world this is a little different. There aren't the confirmed monthly subscription payments, but they are relying on gamers to shell out at varied intervals.

In the case of Evony - this might mean a dump of cash from players at one stage, but then also mean 1-2 months without payment (assuming the gamer is even keen on playing again)

Great game, good graphics and all - but can it be sustained?

What do you guys think?

evony free forever mmorpg

BBG is short for browser based games. In late 1990y browser games got first sign of light. They where based on DHTML (dynamical hypertext markup language) which is commonly used for drop down menus and simple image rollovers. A web browser game is a computer game that is played on a browser. It is distinct from other video and computer games in that it usually does not ask for any client-side software to be installed, apart from the web browser. Today we have a lot of web browser games, some of them require Plugin like adobe flash or java script. But all of these Plugin are easy to get and install. These games are generally costless, with additional, payable options occasionally available.

Oldest web browser game was Earth: 2025 developed by Mehul Patel in year 1996, it was strategy which was played on turn based system. But most popular older game was Utopia, developed in 1999 also strategy based on turn system. In year 1999 two games got developed which are today played by millions of people, Hattrick, real time soccer strategy developed by extraLives and Runescape, Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game, real time game in fantasy world developed by JAGeX.

Newest browser based game that is played by millions is Evony. Evony is a browser-based multiplayer World Wide Web game, with significant similarities to Civilization. As with numerous real-time strategy games, one first has to develop resources by building up iron mines, quarries, farms and sawmills, and then begin building up their town and constructing an army.

There are many web browser games, especially flash games which are at present spread over the world wide web. There are over zillions of websites giving and developing simple flash games for adults and kids. If you check Evony then you know that in future we can only see special games which will attract many people who will spend days and days of gameplay.

I'm a real fan of tower defense games and car games. I'm playing flash games online every day. MMORPG game that im spending most of my free time is Evony.

Made by UMGE (united multiplayer gaming entertainment) out of china, the game makes a profit by offering game coins - where users can buy evony coins using paypal to get advantages in the game.

2moons

I stumbled on the online MMO game from Akklaim the other day called '2moons' - probably aimed at the younger crowd, say 12-16 but nevertheless, a good solid MMORPG offering from a gaming company that knows the right way to do things.

Unlike other competitors in the gaming market, certainly the MMO space, Akklaim have done a good range of gaming titles including Mortal Kombat and some good offline arcade offerings

July 5th 2009 13:04
There has been a fair bit of chatter online regarding some sort of 'evony coin hack' where users wanting to get access to the premium part of the game could do so without buying evony game coins.

It seems the initial chatter has been found out as purely a traffic generating exercise and the actual end websites do not show the gamer how to cheat or obtain free access to the game coins that are usually purchased through paypal
